nuNAAT Review and Giveaway

My hair is one of the things I've always been self conscious about. In middle school my hair never did what I wanted. It refused to go curly or straight. It was always poufy and not shiny. Since then I've been on the hunt to find hair care that leaves my hair soft, shiny, and healthy. Recently I had the opportunity to test out four nuNAAT products from their NAAT Brazilian Keratin Line. I received the NAAT Daily Care Shampoo, NAAT Daily Care Conditioner, NAAT Liquid Keratin Leave-In Reconstructor, and NAAT Intensive Hair Mask.

I am super picky when it comes to scents. I tend to enjoy fruity summer scents as they are less likely to give me a migraine. I also want my hair to continually smell like the products all day. These products smelled a little like chemicals to me. I also wasn't a fan of how liquid the products were.

I was not a fan of the shampoo. It did not lather as well as I would have liked. I am one of those people that don't feel like my hair is clean unless I get a good lather and scrub in.

The conditioner worked well, as long as you left it on your hair for a good ten-fifteen minutes. At first I didn't leave it on that long, I only left it on for five minutes and my hair did not feel soft. My hair was a hassle to comb through and felt super dry. After leaving it on longer my hair felt silky smooth and even looked shiny-not oily.

The next product I tired was the reconstructor. The instructions weren't very clear on how much to apply and whether to apply to wet or dry hair. I assumed wet hair since you blow dry your hair after and then straighten it. I didn't notice a difference in my hair.

My favorite of all four products was the Intensive Hair Mask. I've used this mask several times and I usually leave it on for fifteen minutes before washing it out. Even leaving the mask on for five minutes left my hair feeling so soft and silky. This product is now part of my routine when my hair needs to have extra moisture.

Even though not all these products worked well for me everyone's hair is different. My hair is thick and mostly straight and is extremely picky about what products it allows without looking like a disaster. These products did make my hair straighter.
